Cons of the Canon 100 Macro

The topic of this post shall be the negatives of the Canon 100 Macro lens. The lens is an overall good lens, and there are hardly any cons that one can think of about this lens. Still, if you want to go nit picking then you could say that the plastic parts could have been metallic. The other problem is ghosting which is quite visible at f/2.8. You can edit it to a certain extent if you use the post processing software. The best way out however, is to use the lens in stop down mode at f/4 or lower. This will make sure that vignetting is completely eliminated in this lens. The other major problem with the lens is that there is no image stabilization in the lens. This is not a major issue when you shoot macro pictures, however when you use it outdoors this would have been a good feature to have.
