Build Quality on Sony 50mm 1.8 Lens

In terms of build quality and features, this Sony 50mm 1.8 lens is pretty basic. Although I have not written a comprehensive review, I would buy this better performing Sony DT 50mm 1.8 SAM lens over the old Minolta 50mm f/1.7 AF lens Note that this is true for an APS-C DSLR camera users only. The Sony has a DT designation which means it can only be used with a cropped sensor DSLR camera. The Sony 50mm 1.8 DT has a much better resistance to flare and ghosting than the older Minolta 50mm f/1.7 lens. This lens also sports a satin or flat black first seen on the new kit lens. I also noticed here the slightly shorter focal length for this lens which is around 2mm to 3mm. There are many people who have investigated about this lens online and most of them have posted some positive reviews. I have found this to be true myself.
